What Is ECWVTA Type Approval?
Type Approval is a requirement by law throughout the UK and the EU, and covers how bodies are fitted to original chassis so that they comply to stringent guidelines.
Predominantly the vehicles are certified to EC (Full European) Type Approval, which is the most stringent of all vehicle approvals, giving customers the assurance they need.
The approval controls what components a Bodybuilder can use to build the bodies, it controls everything from the type of side guards that can be used to where lights are mounted after building the body, all the parts that are used on a build need to be registered on a build file for future inspection along with various other items.
Our conformity of production (COP) controls and procedures ensure all of our vehicles are compliant, from one off to multi vehicle batch builds.
Truck Loaders ensure that we work to the latest type approval standards, including the latest transition from 2007/46 to 2018/858 frameworks directives, which are being newly introduced for 2020.
